Quiltmas Inspiration - what you can make with your quilt blocks!
The 12 #quiltmasspectacular blocks have been unboxed but now what to do with them? I have listed a few ideas below from my fellow Quiltmas Elves and some of the loyal followers that have already whipped these blocks into something to help keep the joy of Quiltmas going.
The 12 blocks of Quiltmas Spectacular 2022!
The first obvious thing to do with all 12 blocks is to turn them into a quilt. Last year I made all 12 blocks and put them into a quilt and it was an incredible way to showcase all the blocks together. Each Quiltmas block has a finished size of 12inch x 12inch, so a quilt can made from 3x4 blocks, with the overall finished size of 36inch x 48inch.

Last year I made a quilt our of all the #quiltmasspectacular quilt blocks. Together they make such a fun festive quilt!
Quilt Block to Xmas Ornament
On Day One of the #quiltmasspectacular 2022 we unboxed the #paperpackagesquilt block designed by @tessellate_textiles. Our Head-Elf @mija.handmade straight away showed us all how it was done and shared an amazing Instagram Reel of how to turn this pattern into a Xmas ornament.

From Blocks to Bags!
What I love the most about #quiltmasspectacular is how everyone shares their makes nd creations suing the blocks. I spotted these beautiful tote bags under the #quiltmasspectacular , using last years quilt blocks - such a claver idea! They would make the most beautiful Xmas gifts too.

Quilt Blocks to Coasters!
(or MugRugs as I now know they are called!)
I could not resist turning my ‘mini blocks’ from my Seeking Santa Quiltmas Block into quilted coasters. My girls are drinking hot-chocolate like it is going out of fashion in here colder months and these coasters are the perfect thing to be scattered around the house. They also make a good last minute quilted gift and are perfect to test out some new quilting techniques (using my favourite Aurifil Thread of course!)
Quilt Blocks to Cushions!
I gasped when I saw @remivailstudio version of @broadclothstudio #skiseasonquilt block. The colours and detail to quilting is perfection, she has even inserted a zipper so neatly to the cushion too (something I am yet to perfect!)
One thing is for sure though - I need to make one for myself!

Quilt Blocks to Gift Bags!
If I received any of my Xmas gifts in these bags I would be one happy lady! They are the most beautiful addition. I love the white wavy line quilting across the #ClassicCardinalQuilt - it compliments the fabrics so well and makes it look like the Cardinal is in a snow storm.

One of #quiltmasspectacular original Quiltmas Elves, @shannonfraserdesigns has gone above and beyond with her #refractedstarquilt block.
